Drinking and riding or driving is a serious matter, ideally nobody should drink and then take control of a vehicle, but in reality many of us do. This little device will help you make an informed decision whether or not to ride a bike (or drive a car) after you’ve had an alcoholic drink.
The current UK guidelines* state a threshold of 80mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood, often referred to as a BAC (Blood-Alcohol concentration), in this case 0.08%
This device has 3 LED indicators detailing the BAC of the user’s breath sample, the LED’s use a traffic light sequence to show if the user is safe to drive a vehicle or not.
GREEN = sample below 0.05% BAC > OK to ride
YELLOW = sample over 0.05% BAC > Borderline case, recommendation not to ride
YELLOW & RED = sample over 0.08% BAC > Do NOT ride
